How to Install Automatic Bollards?

If you have purchased a UPARK Automatic Bollard, are ready to begin installation, and have determined that the mounting location is one that meets the installation conditions, what should you do? Now let me give you a brief introduction.

Step 1 Digging the Trench

One of the things you need to do when installing an Automatic Bollard is to dig a trench. Since UPRAK Automatic Bollards are sealed, you only need to determine the number of pits required according to the number of automatic bollards. When digging the pits, you can follow the recommended dimensions in the instructions, keeping in mind that the depth will be a little deeper than the height of the bollards, and of course, you can add reinforcement around the perimeter of the pits if you want them to be more impact resistant. An important point to remember is that not all pits are concrete when they are backfilled, and some models of bollards need to be installed with an allowance for seepage. Since it is possible to do this without a drainage system, you can do it without having to think about digging a drainage well, and therefore, there is no need to do a drain.

Step 2 Pouring the concrete
Once the pit has been dug, the automatic bollards need to be placed in the pit. Before placing the bollards, a layer of sand can be placed on the bottom; using sand makes it easier to adjust the horizontal height of each bollard. Installing the UPARK Auto Occupant, there will be an installation schematic, as well as hints at specific locations on the bollards, these hints will help you to understand, where to start using concrete. Concrete is essential, if you need to increase the impact resistance, add some steel reinforcement or use a higher grade of cement. The concrete needs to be allowed some time to set, and you should never pass heavier vehicles until it has completely set, as this can lead to sinking.

Step 3 Pavement Restoration

Pavement restoration can be done without waiting for the concrete to fully set, users can choose the material for their pavement restoration, usually, the thickness is around 10 centimeters. The choice of pavement restoration material can be concrete, asphalt, stone and so on. If concrete or asphalt material is used for pavement restoration, it is very simple. If stone or bricks are used for final pavement restoration, it will be more complicated and involves some cutting of stone and bricks. Users can make a choice of different materials according to their needs and, of course, have to prepare the appropriate tools.

The installation of UPARK Automatic Bollards can be considered the easiest of all automatic bollard installations because, with their sealed design, there is no need for a drainage system when doing the civil construction of the installation. Although there are different models, all models are sealed and the installation process is similar. Some models, such as the one-piece battery bollard, are as simple to install as a fixed bollard and can be installed by the user.
