Car bursts into flames after Jersey City crash, leaving one dead
One person died Wednesday morning after a car burst into flames after crashing into a parked vehicle in Jersey City.
It is believed the car was traveling south on New York Avenue past Hutton Street just before 8 a.m. when the driver apparently lost control and crashed.
Authorities have not released any information on the crash, but police said in radio transmissions that one person, the driver, was in the car that struck the parked vehicle, and no one was inside the parked vehicle.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office’s Regional Crash Investigation Unit and Jersey City police are conducting an investigation.
